Bay Consulting's latest project, (October 2011) was a concept and feasibility study for a newcomer welcome centre in Sault Ste. Marie. The project helped clarify the roles of the Sault Career Centre and its settlement agency, New to the Sault, as it works cooperatively with the Local Immigration Partnership project operated by the City of Sault Ste. Marie. The contract was with the City of Sault Ste. Marie, through the Local Immigration Partnership project.

This project concluded in January, 2011 and resulted in an immigrant attraction, settlement and retention strategy for the Timmins Local Immigration Partnership. Some of the major recommendations of the study have been acted upon or are in progress, including the establishment of an immigrant settlement agency and pursuing English as a Second Language classes for newcomers. The contract was with the City of Timmins, through the Timmins Economic Development Corporation and its Local Immigration Partnership project.
Bay Consulting completed community research with the immigrant population to identify required content for the City's immigration portal, then under development. Focus groups and personal interviews were used to develop much of the content currently on the site at www.northbayimmigration.ca The contract was with the City of North Bay through its immigration portal project.
